Wired FM now taking applications for MIC Placement Positions 2017/18

Are You Serious About A Career in Media?

At Wired FM you have a unique opportunity to build a diverse portfolio of work during your placement, as you work in all areas of broadcasting. You will meet and work with students from across all the Limerick campuses and will be involved in the development and enhancement of the station as a member of the production team. You will also get the opportunity to work on unique social and media events, and attend national media conferences and seminars.

As well as working at Wired, Co-Op students have had the chance to receive further training via Craol and The Wheel, as well as working on Outreach programmes. Students have also had the opportunity to complete Train the Trainer courses, become qualified QQI media course trainers, and assist with QQI training groups. They have also gone on to produce work for the station with the assistance of grants from the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland.

If you have any questions about the placement, email Ray, the manager of Wired FM at ray.burke@mic.ul.ie
